Unmask Africa is an NGO with a network of global professionals that BELIEVE in Africa. We assist African businesses and/or gear them for success – largely free of charge. As I explain here, we see afropreneurship as one of the keys (if not the most important one) to alleviating poverty on this continent. At the same time, we recognize, however, that much of the workforce on this continent needs to be “rewired”, in order to be able to compete in a world that has systematically eroded our self-worth. As much as we would like to wish it away, colonialism “did a number” on us Africans that we deny only at our own peril. Without changing mindsets, without “reprogramming”, we are doomed to repeat this history by failing to recognize “colonialist-agendas” in all their forms. More here.
