Zambia Airways, the national carrier ceased operations in 1994. It plans a relaunch for the third quarter of 2019. The airline will be co-owned by Ethiopian airlines and will service local and regional destinations initially. Other operators that have filled the vacuum in its absence are mostly Charter services (with the exception of Proflight, which is a commercial airline with 27 routes including Durban and Johannesburg, South Africa)

The South african City Lodge Group have several offering across the country (City Lodge and Road Lodge).
