Businesses aren't remote-controllable

May 25, 2018, 8:22 PM

Why it is impossible to start a business “remotely” – Reason #991:

So I open the margarine and it’s EMPTY. I vaguely remember that there was at least half a tub yesterday… Wondering whether I’m going mad, I call the chef.

Me: “What happened to the margarine”

Chef: “I gave the ladies that clean some bread to eat yesterday”

Me: “But how much bread did they eat??? 😮 This tub was half full!!!”

Chef: 🤐

Me: “Are you sure that is where all the margarine went?”

Chef: 🤐

Me: “Is this why the groceries finish so quickly around here?”

Chef: 🤐

Me: *Sigh* Ok, thanks.

The margarine is metaphoric: If you’re not around to monitor what is happening to all the “margarine”, 40+ employees will gently relieve you of it.
